More About Me

REALTOR®

My Story

Katy Michelle Sells. That phrase captures both my brand and my promise. I know what it means to move, to uproot, to start fresh. I grew up in a military household where relocating was a way of life—we moved more than ten times. I was engaged in every stage: painting, packing, staging, and preparing. Those experiences, combined with the loss of loved ones and the steady guidance of compassionate realtors who helped my family through those transitions, inspired me to enter this field. I understand how deeply buying or selling a home connects to life’s milestones, and I take that responsibility seriously.

Professional Experience

Real Estate
Licensed REALTOR® with Sibcy Cline, Florence office. I am licensed to represent clients throughout Northern Kentucky. While my office also assists the Greater Cincinnati area, state licensing requires careful boundaries across state lines. For clients moving beyond Kentucky, I participate in relocation programs that connect buyers and sellers with trusted professionals nationwide. My focus remains preparation, communication, and negotiation.

Publishing
Founder and publisher of Grant County Magazines through Five W’s Media. I built a quarterly magazine mailed to thousands of households, connecting writers, photographers, businesses, and nonprofits. My work included sponsor relations, ad design, editorial planning, and brand growth.

Tutoring
More than a decade as a private tutor for K-12 and college-level students. My focus was on study skills, comprehension, and confidence building. Teaching sharpened my ability to explain complex material—skills I now apply to contracts and client guidance.

Hospitality and Events
Operations and event management experience in fine dining and wineries. Oversaw wine club operations, customer service, and large-scale events, honing an ability to balance precision with creativity.

Community and Family

My family has called Kentucky home since 2015, with ties in Burlington, Walton, Williamstown, and Georgetown. I support school activities, youth sports, and local projects. I also value time at home gardening and cooking, just as much as I love traveling, discovering new places, and exploring the outdoors with my children. Pets are a big part of our lives, and my family often takes in rescues and rehomes animals. Home is important to me in every sense of the word.

Philosophy

I believe real estate is about more than contracts and closings. It is about connection, preparation, and advocacy. Each transaction reflects a turning point in someone’s life. My role is to ensure my clients feel informed, supported, and confident at every step.

Closing Thought and Connect

The five W’s—who, what, when, where, why—are more than questions. They are principles. They frame decisions, sharpen focus, and provide clarity. I carry them into every transaction.

Buying or selling a home is never simple. It marks milestones, change, transition. Each step deserves precision and care. I approach my clients with seriousness, empathy, and resolve.
